Hojeong Lee (b.1996) is a South Korean artist. Lee‘s artistic exploration delves into the intricacies of communication, spanning from the written word to the language of touch and sight. Since childhood, Lee has viewed natural elements such as grasses, field plants, and forests as anthropomorphic figures, translating their lines and curves into evocative pencil drawings. Her works, at times abstract and at others figurative, dance on the threshold of ambiguity, inviting viewers into a dialogue that persists even in the absence of the artist.
Hojeong Lee has exhibited internationally in venues such as Kunsthalle Basel (CH), Seohae Art Museum (KR), and Museum Zündorfer (Cologne, DE). Her accolades include the Toni Merz Museum Stiftung Prize and a residency at the Seohae Art Museum.
